Mercenaries constitute a special group of units which has important place in the structure of forces of Men. They are ordinary units with standard weapons and armour, but they do come with extensive combat experience and therefore with superior fighting skills.

Like all shooters mercenary crossbowman is lightly armoured. Having gone through numerous battles, he perfected his shooting skills. He does not shoot more often like veteran archers do, instead his shots are more accurate and inflicted damage is bigger with a higher chance to stun the target.
